Looking for players (experienced or not) who would be interested in joining in board games (Pandemic, Dominion, Carcassonne, Acquire, Munchkin, Ticket to Ride, Nuclear War ect...) I am available usually on Sunday evenings, and some Saturday afternoons.

Hey man, I'm always down to play some board games. I'm a huge fan of Carcassonne, and to a lesser degree, Ticket to Ride, and I've been wanting to play Pandemic and Dominion. I'm usually around on the weekends at least during the day.

Also, the geek in me feels obligated to point out.. only 4 of the 7 board games you mentioned are actually board games Very Happy dominion and munchkin are card games... and carcassonne is tile laying awesomeness. But then again.. there is a munchkin board game... nevermind.

haha, whatever.. all I said was that there was a munchkin board game. So playing munchkin could count as a board game. But yes, to be more specific, you're right, muchkin is the card game, not the board game..

It appears that I have been too relaxed in my gaming terms. To clarify.

Acquire, Carcassonne (w/ multiple expansions), Ticket To Ride (w/ 1910 expansion), The Downfall of Pompeii, Dominion, Dominion Intrigue, (Expansion Dominion Seaside), Risk 2210, Munchkin (w/7 expansions) Munchkin Bites (w/ expansion), Munchkin Booty (w/expansion), Munchkin Cthulhu (w/ 1 expansion), Munchkin Impossible, Munchkin Quest (w/ expansion), Star Munchkin (w/ expansion), Super Munchkin (w/ expansion), Pandemic (w/ expansion), Race for the Galaxy (w/ 2 expansions), and others.

Note: Check out my collection at My Collection, to see what I have to offer.

we gotta play the zombies vs humans version then but it will only be fun if we can get at least 6-8 ppl to play...and everyone must be ready to play for a couple hours. we all know how long regular zombies takes. lol

I still have Flux. I think everyone kind of burned out on it.

Also, thought I'd add my Boardgame Geek Collection List as well. It is about 55% complete.

And not only do I still have zombie fluxx, but I have also aquired the new Fluxx.

Yea unfortunately the military saw fit to block BGG at work, so I never go on there anymore. I'm sure my collection is still on there though, just maybe slightly outdated. This link may or may not work, I can't test it... http://www.boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/PhilChute

The big zombie/human game sounds like a blast - though I'm also willing for most any game when I'm there. I've not tried Martians yet either, and would like to.

That's where you're wrong Bobbi. It's not just random, there is a decent amount of strategy. It's all about building a combo in your hand, then either playing it on one turn, or more likely, just going off. Drawing as many cards as you need on your turn using a bunch of draw card cards, or by taking multiple turns, then laying your win conditions and your goal in such a way it allows you to win.

I mean, it's probably got the same complexity as checkers, which is to say.. not very much, but still. It's a game that you can apply strategy to and win consistantly at unless you're playing against someone else who's good.

That being said... Fluxx is only really good drunk.

    Board Games Empty odd games

Post by Terraling Wed Nov 04, 2009 12:24 am

Speaking of games while being drunk, I have this game called KRAGMORTHA. I think it is one game that either you love, or love to hate. It is very entertaining when you play it with a bunch of drunks, or those who act drunk all the time. I'll bring it on Sunday if I am back in town. (Marine Corps Ball in Vegas this weekend). Hope to see some of you there.

Yea, I'm a little jealous of the vegas ball. We've always done them in Vegas before but did ours in Laughlin this year. Laughlin sucks eggs for balls.
Anyways. Bobbi. Anytime. Any place. Any amount of sober. I will show you Fluxx skills. You're on.

thanks to all those that came out for the board games this past Sunday. We are going to do it again this week. Same time (2:00 pm) at the shop. This time I will be bringing Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, Dominion, and Fluxx. I would like to encourage everyone to bring their favorite to share with the group.

Recently dropped by the shop a couple days ago to pick up my copy of Pandemic. Love the game! Haven't touched/painted a miniature in such a long time. My busy schedule triggered me back into "board game mode." I'm back at adding to my collection.

My recent purchases within the past 3 months were:

    Dominion
    Agricola
    Pandemic

I'm looking forward to getting some sessions of Agricola.

Also looking for someone with the following games:

    Alhambra
    Vasco de Gama
    The Princes of Florence
    Stone Age
    Race to the Galaxy
    Bohnanza

Planning to drop by on Sunday...if my wife doesn't have anything planned.
