Gamex 2009 Convention

Well, Davina and I are back from Los Angeles. The Convention was a lot of fun and hopefully we get to play some the new games we picked up. One is entirely in Italian, so I guess I have to learn it.

Brought a few pics and some video for all of you who have never been to a Con but hear us talk about it all the time. Just to give you an idea and make you want to go to the next one (Gateway 2009 - Labor Day Weekend)...

First, here is the Exhibitor room. This is where we get our weird and wonderful games from. It is also where you can go and pick on Davina while she works.

This is the main Gaming Hall. Most of the games played here are tournaments for board games. It is also large enough that you can pretty much play any type of board or card game here. They have a large game library, in which you can check out games for free to try out. That's how all the Days of Wonder joy started.

OOOOOO, I recognized people! Like Terry, Ken, and Scott! oh, and that guy in the blue shirt that ducked.....

A guy dressed as, um, something, think it suppossed to be Star Wars related. Was there to promote a new Convention being held in Las Vegas, this November.



I assume they were there for the Con. Only saw them crossing the street towards the hotel. Did not see them the rest of the show.
