After losing game one of the second round to the Detroit Red Wings, with a final of 3-2, the Ducks have surged back to gain home ice advantage.

In game 2, the Ducks defeated the Red Wings 4-3 in triple Overtime. For some perspective, a normal game is a total of 1 hour of gametime (3 periods, each 20 minutes long). An overtime period is a full 20 minutes and the game ends when a team scores the tie breaking goal The game lasted over 4 and half hours of realtime, and 100+ minutes of gametime.

The series moves to Anaheim for games 3 and 4. Let's go Ducks!

Tonight, the Anaheim Ducks played the Detroit Red Wings in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Semi-Finals. The Ducks won the game 2-1 after a controversial call late in the 3rd period. The Ducks now have a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven-series.

The controversial call came with about a minute left in the game. The Red Wings scored the tying goal but was waved off by the referee who blew the whistle as contact with the puck was made. The referees are instructed to sound their whistles when they lose sight of the puck and believe the goal tender possesses it. On replay, this clearly wasn't the case but the play was not reviewable. This play will be talked about for awhile to come, but you know what [editorial cap on], Detroit fans did not complain when they were given two bogus powerplays by the referees in the 3rd period! Razz [/editorial cap off]

Well, game 4 takes place Thursday night in Anaheim. Multi-player Mordheim is that night, so speed it up people!

Ok, it's been awhile since I posted in this thread. It has not been good for the Anaheim Ducks, the last couple games. But I am happy to report that the Ducks have tied the series after a 2-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings.

With the win, the Ducks force a game 7 to be played on Thursday (Yes, I will still be running the Mordheim multiplayer battle). I'd like to think that the Ducks won this game because of Patrick's wish of Good Luck.

Gonna be nervous the next couple of days.

    cheers Let's Go Ducks!!! cheers
