So nobody has started this yet. Just like any other forum, post a deck idea and let people critique it. Give you other possibly better ideas to put in it. Just keep in the proper way to Critique something. Dont just say "great deck" etc.

Explain your reasoning or dont post a comment.

Ill start this with a B/R burn I was just thinking about.

4x Bloodchief Ascension

4x Hideous End

4x Sign In Blood

So some informations for everyone who doesn't spend their work days reading magic news like I do.

It's confirmed that very very rarely in Zendikar packs there are old awesome cards. Like.. power 9 awesomeness. At prereleases around the country people found some old Moxes and stuff. Not reprints, but cards from wizards vaults. Very rare, like 1 in 750 packs. They changed the rules for the game before Zendikar came out to say basically if you open a pack you can only use the cards inside ...

So next Friday the new Magic set, Zendikar comes out. It's looking absolutely awesome.

Anybody going to be around that day or weekend? Anybody buying a bunch?

May I point you to an article on Starcitygames.

Basically, the point he makes is,

Don't just Crack that Pack!, call over some friends, and make a game night out of opening that box, instead of just ripping open your boosters and pulling out the cards you want for your Constructed decks. That can come later; you're adding value ...

After ten years away from the game, I finally finished putting together a deck of Magic, not using cards produced before 1998. I am proud to announce that my Bant deck defeated Davina's Grixis deck twice.

Of course, I'll probably never win with it again. But hey! I play Magic again.

Just wanted to know who else plays this game. I know John and Tim played a long time ago. This was my first CCG and fell in love with it because it had the oriental/samurai theme going and the multiple ways you can win depending on your deck build.

I started in Diamond Edition until they moved to Samurai Edition. I think Lotus Edition replaced it, but is soon going away. I'm interested in starting up again since Celestial Edition is coming up. So far, they have one set (Glory of the ...

I know that most people (myself included) don't have the time/money to invest in more than one CCG really, but man, I love WoW. Anyone ever wants, feel free to come up, we'll get in some games, maybe if 4+ folk there, we'll get a raid going on .

I don't have many cards of Magic to trade but if you look at this thread What CCG do you play? you will see the games I have cards for. May even be willing to trade a starter of one of those games for a card.

Currently, I am playing Legend of the Five Rings, Magic, and Kingdom Hearts. But have over 70+ different CCGs. Most of them are from between 1993-2001.

From experience, I can understand how it is having a game that you were really into or liked that no one plays anymore. If you have one of those post it and you may find an opponent for it. That is MikeG got ...

Some other shop-goers (Tim and Davina among them) and I were toying with the idea of starting a few ante games in Magic. For those who are not familiar with 'the ante variation' its pretty simple. without looking at the top card of your deck, you place it in a pile in the middle of the table, and the winner of the game gets the pot.

If enough people are interested in this idea, I think it would be fun once and awhile. (making a habit of this would be devastating to my collection.)
